This year we have celebrated Fred Marshall Painting’s 45th anniversary. We would like to thank the Park City community and all the great painters, contractors, property managers, homeowners, and businesses that we have worked with since 1974. Thank you for 45 wonderful years. We look forward to 45 more.

We painted and stained “Old Town’s newest showpiece” that was recently featured in the Park Record‘s Winter 2019-20 Park City Home Magazine (pages 56-57). In the article, “Bells, Whistles, and Then Some” it says this home is the “perfect perch for filming a ‘Visit Park City’ video.” The home has 5 bedrooms 7 baths and is 8276 square feet. It is listed for $7,850,000.
We are grateful to have been voted as a finalist for Park City’s Best Painting Contractor in the Park Record‘s Park City’s Best magazine. We have been featured the last four years and are proud to be one of only two Park City area painters to be so honored. Thank you to all that voted!

We painted and stained the interior and exterior of a house that was recently featured in the Utah Style & Design Magazine’s Photo Friday feature. It was titled: The New Old Town. The home was designed by architect Jonathan DeGray. Scott Zimmerman did the photography for the magazine and said the home “ties into Old Town’s historical mining past with the roof pitch, scale, and warm woods, while at the same time it announces modern credentials with concrete, metal, ample windows […]

A house we painted was featured in the March/April 2018 Mountain Living Magazine. The architecture was by RKD Architects, the interior design by Erin Martin Design, and construction was by Go West Development. Mountain Living says, “This bold, sculptured dwelling near Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort was created to capture views of the Wasatch Mountains to the west and the Uintas to the north. The result – a house with three distinct structures, each with their own unique view – is awe-inspiring.”
Now that the snow is disappearing, it is time to consider if your house needs a new coat of stain or paint. While Park City is a beautiful place to live and work, its climate is very hard on house exteriors. Bright sunlight and snow & rain can cause exterior finishes and woodwork to degrade rapidly. At Park City elevations exteriors should be stained at least every 3-5 years.
Ultraviolet (UV) exposure increases dramatically with elevation. Most of Park City is between 7000 feet and 8500 feet above sea level. At these altitudes […]
A house we painted was featured in the Fall 2017 Utah Style and Design Magazine. The home was originally designed and built by Gary Francis & Associates in the 1980s. A strip-to-the-studs remodel was done by Gary Francis & Associates and interior designed Paula Berg in 2015. The owners wanted “a calming home, one defined by a light, peaceful color scheme, subtle sophistication and a Zen-like ambiance.”
