This year we have celebrated Fred Marshall Painting’s 45th anniversary. We would like to thank the Park City community and all the great painters, contractors, property managers, homeowners, and businesses that we have worked with since 1974. Thank you for 45 wonderful years. We look forward to 45 more.
We painted and stained “Old Town’s newest showpiece” that was recently featured in the Park Record‘s Winter 2019-20 Park City Home Magazine (pages 56-57). In the article, “Bells, Whistles, and Then Some” it says this home is the “perfect perch for filming a ‘Visit Park City’ video.” The home has 5 bedrooms 7 baths and is 8276 square feet. It is listed for $7,850,000.
An electronic version of the printed magazine is here: Park City Home Magazine – Winter 2019/20.
Now that the snow is disappearing, it is time to consider if your house needs a new coat of stain or paint. While Park City is a beautiful place to live and work, its climate is very hard on house exteriors. Bright sunlight and snow & rain can cause exterior finishes and woodwork to degrade rapidly. At Park City elevations exteriors should be stained at least every 3-5 years.
Ultraviolet (UV) exposure increases dramatically with elevation. Most of Park City is between 7000 feet and 8500 feet above sea level. At these altitudes UV exposure can be 50% higher than at sea level. Think about how easy it is to get a sunburn on a blue-sky day at Deer Valley or Park City Mountain Resort; the sun has a similar effect on the exterior of a house. Stains add to the beauty of your home and also act as “sunscreen” for exterior woodwork. […]
A home we painted is featured on pages 44-45 of the Park Record‘s Fall 2017 Park City Home magazine. In the article, “Modern Majesty,” it says this “home epitomizes the essence of modern living, while still blending a sophisticated mountain aesthetic.” You can see the article and photos below. We are honored to be the featured painter in Otto Walker Architect’s 2017 brochure. Our page shows a picture from the Bill Envall home we painted in Glenwild. More pictures are available here: https://fredmarshallpainting.com/gallery/mountain-rustic-home-glenwild-parkcity-utah/
When one is choosing a painter for your custom home, we believe the two most important considerations are (1) quality and (2) timeliness. The work of a high quality painter is quite visible and can be seen in every room of your house. Our primary goal is to make sure our customers are completely satisfied with our work. Also, because of our extensive experience and larger size, we are able to meet difficult timelines and schedules.
Fred Marshall Painting is the premier painting contractor in Park City. Over the years we have had a number of clients that first chose a less reputable painter because of price, but subsequently hired us when the job was “completed” or even in the middle of the job to fix quality issues or to meet a schedule that was not being met. It is usually better for your stress level, and even your wallet, to […]
Even though we have been in Park City for over 40 years, we somehow missed the Park Record‘s Park City’s Best Awards. We got involved this year and are honored to have been voted as a finalist for Best Painting Contractor. Thank you to all that voted for us! We greatly appreciate our customers and strive to be the very best painter for them. We love turning homes and other properties into painting masterpieces.
A list of all the 2016 Home & Garden finalists is here: 2016 Park City’s Best Home and Garden Winners.
An amazing house we painted (built by Allred Construction) is featured in the Summer 2016 Park City issue of the Western Home Journal – “Reclaimed Retreat.” You can see more pictures below and by clicking here. The article starts:
“The best way to describe this house,” says Bill Engvall, a world-renowned comedian and film and television star, “is by telling you how much I don’t want to leave home. When I’m traveling for work, I always feel like I would rather just be here,” he says, gesturing to the armchair he’s seated in. “A lot of times I just find myself sitting here looking out these big windows at the surroundings and not wanting to be anywhere else.”
What a view it is. Bill and Gail Engvall’s home is situated along the crest of a hill in the Glenwild development in Park City, Utah. The […]
A home we painted on White Pine Canyon Road in the Colony was featured in the Park Record‘s Spring 2016 Park City Home Magazine (pages 50-51). This is an amazing home that has also been featured in Forbes and the Deseret News. The article says, “the owner demanded perfection in finishes and materials, and got it…this home took over 4 years to design and build, but its level of craftsmanship in unparalleled locally. It posses understated elegance in a contemporary mountain estate.”
Unfortunately, we don’t have interior pictures, but it is at least as impressive on the inside. We do have several exterior pictures here.
